| Bid Opening for Stone Creek Box Culvert On Pages Lane | Steve Rawlings, Davis County Clerk/Auditor, opened bids for the Stone Creek Box Culvert on Pages Lane for the following: COP Construction $1,793,090.00 Bowen Construction Co. $1,884,232.00 ACME Construction $1,367,588.25 Whitaker Construction Co. $1,798,350.00 Kirk Schmalz, Davis County Public Works Director, took the bids for review. |
| RFP’s for Legacy Events Center Concession Operations | Steve Rawlings, Davis County Clerk/Auditor, opened the RFP’s for the Legacy Events Center concession operations for the following: Bicknell Robbins 15% of gross sales T’s Grill 20% of gross sales Dave Hansen, Davis County Legacy Events Center Director, explained the concessionaire will have the exclusive right to operate the concessions inside the Legacy Center and at the outdoor riding areas at the Legacy Events Center. The bid reflects the amount of the fee to be paid to Davis County based on a percentage of gross sales. Dave took the RFP’s for review. |
| Rededication of Freedom Memorial Shrine | Dennis Yarrington, Davis County Assessor, announced that immediately following commission meeting there will be a short ceremony to rededicate the Freedom Memorial Shrine on the first floor of the memorial courthouse. The Bountiful Exchange Club contributed the original display. They are doing a short rededication of the display as they are completing qualifications for renewal of the club membership. Dennis stated he is a member of the Bountiful Exchange Club as well as Steve Rawlings, Davis County Clerk/Auditor. All are invited to attend. The Exchange Club is planning within a year to have a Freedom Shrine Display at Syracuse High School. |
| Donation to Bountiful/Davis Art Center | Kent Sulser, Davis County Community and Economic Development Director, requested approval of a donation to the Bountiful/Davis Art Center in the amount of $2,500.00. The purpose of the request is for funding support of the Summerfest International and other programs of Bountiful/Davis Art Center. The activities have a positive and profound effect on the community. The donation is from the Tourism Fund. Commissioner Millburn made a motion to approve. Commissioner Petroff seconded the motion. All voted aye. Donations are allowable under the Utah Constitution and in §17-50-303 Utah Code Annotated. Emma Dugal, Executive Director Bountiful/Davis Art Center, accepted the check and thanked the commissioners for their ongoing support. At Summerfest there will be 9 international dance groups, 50 – 60 artists’ booths, ethnic food booths, and children’s and family activities throughout the event. It is anticipated there will be 15,000 attending. It has an economic impact for stores, gas, hotels, and restaurants. Admittance will be free to the public for the event August 3 – 6, 2011. |

It is a cooperative effort to make drainage modifications for Seth and Callie Keller due to an earlier project in 2010 on the DSB channel re-ling project in West Bountiful. It is a payable of $717.00 for Davis County. Commissioner Petroff made a motion to approve. Commissioner Millburn seconded the motion. All voted aye. | Agreement #2011-156 & #2011-157 UPRR Railroad Company for License Agreements to Davis County | Agreement #2011-156 with UPRR Railroad Company. It is a license agreement to install a 66 inch encased natural stream water pipeline crossing on railroad property at Mile Post 803.27 on the Salt Lake Subdivision/Branch at or near Kaysville. The required license fee has been waived by the railroad. Agreement #2011-157 with UPRR Railroad Company. It is a license agreement to install a 54 inch encased water pipeline crossing on railroad property at Mile Post 792.99 on the Salt Lake Subdivision/Branch at or near Centerville. The required license fee has been waived by the railroad. Commissioner Petroff made a motion to approve both agreements. Commissioner Millburn seconded the motion. All voted aye. | Agreement #2011-158 Storm Water Coalition for Participation by Davis County | Adam Wright, Davis County Public Works Engineer, presented agreement #2011-158 for Davis County and cities/Davis County Storm Water Coalition. This is a continuation of membership as outlined in the agreement of 2003 with the Storm Water Coalition for the UPDES General Permit. Each entity will continue on with training and the meeting of EPA qualifications. Each agency has its own jurisdiction but will work to combine efforts to implement requirements of the Storm Water Management Program. We all live downstream.
