Divisions

The Health Department’s staff strives to ensure quality public and environmental health and senior services in Davis County. Under the policy direction of the Davis County Board of Health, the department’s Health Officer and approximately 125 employees serve county residents through the Disease Control & Prevention Services Division, Community Health Services Division, Environmental Health Services Division, Family Health Services Division, Senior Services Division, and the Health Administration Services Office.

Environmental Health Division

The primary purpose of the Davis County Health Department’s Environmental Health Division is to aid in the elimination of all environmental factors that lead to disease, lessen quality of life, and degrade the physical environment in Davis County. To carryout this mission, the Division is divided into the Air Quality Bureau, the Food & Facilities Bureau, the Water Resources Bureau, and the Environmental Response & Waste Management Bureau.

Family Health & Disease Control Division

The Davis County Health Department’s Family Health & Disease Control Division provides services to citizens throughout their life spans. Families receive personal health services in a variety of prevention programs.

The Davis County Health Department’s Senior Services Division provides services to citizens throughout their life spans. Families receive personal health services in a variety of prevention programs. The division offers an array of programs that assist seniors in remaining active and healthy.

Community Health Services Division

The Community Health Services Division works with community partners to plan and implement public health interventions and programs as well as develop policies that reduce morbidity and mortality, improve public health emergency preparedness, and support healthy environments.
