The Food $ense website has information on meal planning, cooking, and nutrition. Food $ense (SNAP-Ed) also provides nutrition education to SNAP recipients and food stamp eligibles. Food Sense (SNAP-Ed) offers a variety of classes to expand participants’ knowledge of nutrition, budgeting, cooking, food safety, and physical activity. These hands-on classes are taught by Nutrition Education Assistants (NEAs), who are trained through the National Nutrition Paraprofessional Certification Program, created by Food Sense (SNAP-Ed) of Utah.
Have you always wanted to learn more about gardening? Do you want to help the community with your gardening knowledge? Now is your chance! Master Gardeners attend 40 hours of class lecture and give back to the community by providing at least 40 hours of community service. Mental Health First Aid is an 8 hour course open to all members of the community, that teaches participants how to help a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis using Action Plan ALGEE. Assess for risk of suicide or harm, Listen non-judgmentally, Give reassurance and information, Encourage appropriate professional help, and Encourage self-help and other support strategies.

The organization is the oldest non-denominational welfare and family support agency in Utah. They provide relief to destitute children.
