Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Bureau

 

WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Nutrition education and counseling, nutritious foods, and help accessing health care are provided to qualifying women, infants, and children through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, popularly known as WIC.

WIC Qualification Requirements

To qualify for WIC, you must:

  • Live in Davis County. You do not have to be a U.S. citizen.
  • Have a family income less than WIC income guidelines. Click here to see chart for income guidelines (pdf). A person receiving Medicaid, the Family Employment Program (TANF), or Food Stamps already meets the income eligibility requirements.
  • Have a special nutritional need.
  • Be in one of the following groups:
    • pregnant
    • breastfeeding an infant under one year
    • a woman who has had a baby within the past six months
    • an infant
    • child less than 5 years of age

Clients are seen by appointment only.

Hours: Mon., Wed, & Thurs., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Each 2nd and 4th Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Hours: Mon., Tues., Thurs., & Fri., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
