Job Description
|
General Purpose
Under close supervision from an administrative superior, performs routine cleaning work.
|
Example of Duties:
(Any one position does not include all of the duties listed; nor do the listed examples include all duties which may be found in positions of this class.) Sweeps, vacuums, mops, waxes and buffs floors; dusts, empties trash cans and ash urns, cleans windows and rest rooms; maintains building entrances and shovels snow; rakes leaves, waters outdoor plants and trees, mows and trims lawns, weeds flower and shrub beds. Clears debris from sidewalks and parking lot. Moves and sets up equipment and furniture for special events; returns equipment and furniture at the completion of event. Performs minor maintenance and repairs on cleaning equipment, light switches, circuit breakers, taps; replaces lamps and light bulbs. Unloads delivery trucks; delivers cases of paper and office supplies to County departments; pick-up and transports supplies, equipment, or furniture to locations around the courthouse and surrounding buildings. Operates power hand tools and garden tools, lawn mower, and cleaning equipment; services and repairs tools and power equipment. May sort and deliver mail. May check vehicle for gas, oil, air, etc.; cleans vehicle when necessary. Operates a motor vehicle in a safe manner and in compliance with all Utah laws and regulations. Performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
This is an entry level position requiring no minimum amount of education or experience.
|
Special Qualifications:
Employees driving a personal vehicle while on county business must maintain the minimum vehicle liability insurance as specified in the Utah Code. Must possess a valid Utah driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to: read well enough to understand and follow instructions related to cleaning solutions; carry, set-up and climb a ladder; lift and load cases of paper and other office supplies, establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other employees. This position may require the driving of a motor vehicle; skill in operating a motor vehicle in a safe manner; ability to insure motor vehicle is operating in a safe manner; knowledge of Utah motor vehicle rules and regulations.
