The Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels) Program helps older people remain independent in their homes by providing one or more nutritious meals per day to eligible individuals unable to manage their own meal preparation. Special diets for health reasons, prescribed by a physician, can also be provided. Meals are delivered up to 5 days a week.

WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Nutrition education and counseling, nutritious foods, and help accessing health care are provided to qualifying women, infants, and children through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, popularly known as WIC.

Oakdell Egg Farms is a local family farm that began in 1908 with only ten chickens.    Many family members are still involved as they produce high quality commodity eggs, specialty eggs, high quality organic compost and poultry fertilizer products. Oakdell supplies eggs in stores such as Smith’s, Associated Foods, Macey’s, Albertson’s, WinCo, Dan’s, Harmons, and Costco.
