Compliance with UCA 57-10-11 new

The Davis County Recorder's Office, in collaboration with other Davis County departments, is preparing for acceptance of document submissions, including Subdivision Dedication Plats, which use the Utah State Coordinate System of bearing rotations, otherwise known as NAD 83  (North American Datum), in compliance with directives contained in Utah Code Annotated Title 57-10-11, passed in the 2019 Utah State Legislature.

To summarize, this department's goal is to be prepared to accept Subdivision Dedication Plats created using NAD 83 data NLT 1 Sep 2020.  By October 1, 2020, we hope to have submissions made that include NAD 83 data as the preferred datum, with a hard deadline of 1 Jan 2021 for all submissions to be made in NAD 83 rotations.

This office will continue to record electronically submitted documents. In-person recording must be by appointment.

Some services may not be available at all times.

Announcement from Davis County Director of Human Resources dated 4 June 2020 extends the current SOFT CLOSURE procedures through the month of June 2020.

It is recommended that ALL VISITORS SANITIZE HANDS UPON OFFICE ENTRY. SANITIZER IS AVAILABLE AT THE FRONT COUNTER. Be safe. We will weather this together. For an appointment, call 801-451-3225.
