What you need to know

  • Pet parents releasing their animal for euthanasia will need to provide personal photo identification, proof of ownership, and supporting information of the medical or behavioral condition.
  • We provide euthanasia services for companion animals such as cats, dogs, and small mammals such as rabbits, and guinea pigs. Livestock and exotic pets such as reptiles and birds should be taken to a veterinarian who specializes in the care of those species.
  • We reserve the right to refuse euthanasia service if ownership or a medical/behavioral condition cannot be confirmed. We can not euthanize any healthy or treatable pet.
  • We can not euthanize a pet if it has bitten someone within the last 10 days. If your pet has bitten a person or another animal breaking the skin within the last 10 days, by law, you must notify the public health department and the animal care & control agency where the bite occurred.
  • If you wish to be present with your pet during the euthanasia procedure, we recommend contacting your pet’s primary veterinarian to inquire about this service.
