Davis Loan Fund

TThe Davis Loan Fund for Economic Development is a small business loan program designed to create jobs and help grow the Davis County economy by providing financing options to viable but non-traditional businesses.

The Davis Loan Fund is managed by the County on behalf of the Davis County Council of Governments, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization established in 1984, which is governed by a board of directors made up of the mayors and county commissioners of Davis County

Use of Funds

If you are approved for a loan through the Davis Fund you can use the funding for FFE, working capital, inventory, construction or gap financing

Who Can Apply?

The Davis Loan Fund is open to businesses located in Davis County. If you are in need of funding, you can submit an application through our online portal. Please create an account on Neighborly and select “Start Application” next to Davis Loan Fund. We will review your application and get back to you if you qualify and we’d like you to present to the Council of Governments for further consideration.

Northern Utah Economic Alliance

The Northern Utah Economic Alliance (NUEA) is a joint venture of Davis and Weber counties, the two most-populated counties in Northern Utah. Their website contains a lot of information about the two counties including why it is so great to do business and live in Northern Utah.

Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah)

EDCUtah is a statewide economic development organization (EDO) specializing in corporate recruitment, economic research, site selector marketing, and community development. A partner of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity for corporate recruitment, EDCUtah is supported by state government, local governments, and organizations from the private sector.

GOEO supports Utah entrepreneurs and businesses buy working to retain and recruit companies and bring more high-paying jobs to Utah. In addition, they work with industries, Utah regions, communities, and nonprofits to implement strategic economic development plans and reinforce Utah’s already diverse, prosperous economy.

The Business Resource Center at Davis Technical College provides quality educational, consulting and mentoring services for entrepreneurs in Davis and Morgan Counties.

WTC Utah was founded in 2006 to elevate Utah’s global status and international engagement. Their goal is to help Utah companies increase revenue and create jobs by expanding international sales, attracting foreign investment, and facilitating international partnerships.

Tax Increment Financing

Each Davis County city has a Redevelopment Agency (RDA) whose primary goal is to encourage development by providing incentives to develop new or expanding development projects. Each RDA works in close conjunction with the County to find Community Reinvestment Areas (CRA) that would not otherwise occur without assistance from a reinvestment of property taxes collectible in the CRA needed to install infrastructure, remove blight, and other obstacles on land with unusually high land costs.
