Davis County Privacy Mission

The mission of the Davis County Data Privacy Program is to actively protect the personal data of our residents. We will achieve this by:

  • Compliance: Faithfully implementing the requirements of the Utah Government Data Privacy Act and the Davis County Privacy Ordinance to ensure we account for all privacy-related laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Purpose Limitation & Data Minimization: Processing personal data only for specified, lawful purposes and collecting only the minimum amount necessary to provide effective and efficient public services.
  • Transparency: Providing clear and understandable notice to individuals about how their personal data is collected, used, and shared.
  • Accountability: Empowering our employees through continuous training and establishing clear lines of responsibility for protecting personal data.
  • Security: Maintaining appropriate safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the personal data entrusted to us.

You can submit a request to amend or correct your personal data or user data by emailing privacy@daviscountyutah.gov. Davis County will review the request and determine whether the requested changes will be made.
