General Rules & Regulations

In the event of a conflict between the general rules and special rules governing the various departments, the special rules will take precedence. The Davis County Fair Committee reserves the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and regulations and arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions, and differences in regard thereto, or in otherwise arising out of, connected with, or incidental to the Fair. The Fair Committee reserves the right to amend or add to these rules.

All entries must be made upon forms supplied from the fair and meet the rules listed in each department. Competition at the Davis County Fair is governed by rules in each department. As soon as sufficient entries are received in any department to fill the space available, no further entries will be accepted. All entries must have been grown or made within the one year prior to the Fair. Every entry must remain intact until the close of the Fair. All Exhibits must be picked up on Monday, August 17th from 2:00p.m-6:00p.m. No exhibit will be released early for ANY reason. If you cannot pick up your exhibit after release time, make arrangements at the Legacy Center Events Office. Unless otherwise provided, only the owner or producer can enter animals or articles. Department Chairperson may remove from the grounds any exhibit that is falsely entered or which may be deemed unsuitable or objectionable.

No judge will be allowed to exhibit in the department in which he or she is acting as a judge. Judges must avoid contact with exhibitors. When articles are not deemed worthy, they will not be awarded a premium. If it be ascertained that an exhibitor had, in an unsocial and public manner, taken exception to the judgment or ruling of a judge, employee, or any official of the Fair, the Committee can bar said person, so offending, from competing for a premium or exhibiting on the grounds until he or she have made proper apology and be reinstated by the Committee.

Premiums can be collected at the Legacy Center ticket office Saturday, August 15th from 3:00p.m. - 5:00 p.m. OR in the South Exhibit Building on Monday, August 17th 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. ANY PREMIUM MONEY NOT CLAIMED BY 6:00 P.M.
