RSVP provides a small mileage reimbursement to volunteers for travel between home and the volunteer site.  Supplemental insurance coverage for personal injury and liability is provided through The CIMA Companies, Inc. and underwritten by QBE Insurance Corporation.  A copy of the policy is available upon request.  Coverage includes traveling to and from home to the volunteer site and while volunteering.  There is no charge to the volunteer for this coverage.  CIMA pays after all other policies have made payment on Accident Medical Expense Coverage and Excess Volunteer Liability.  CIMA coverage includes Accidental Death and Dismemberment Coverage up to $2,500.  Please report all accidents to the RSVP office as soon as possible.  We will begin the paperwork for your claim.

RSVP means results.  Your time is valuable, and we maximize every minute.  Our program focuses on making a tangible difference here in Davis County.  National performance measures guide our efforts and ensure your work contributes to real, lasting change in our communities.  RSVP monitors and tracks the effect of your service.  We analyze the impact your service has made then share that information with stakeholders.  Awareness around issues is enhanced by showing the impact and results of volunteer services addressing unmet needs in communities.  Awareness of issues translates to educating those in positions to provide funding and supplemental services towards those needs. Sharing the volunteer service stories aids the community in multiple ways.
No, you can live outside of Davis County, but you are required to conduct your volunteer work within Davis County.

Yes!  During the interview and orientation RSVP staff will describe the volunteer opportunities available and answer any questions you may have about each potential assignment.  Additionally, all opportunities will provide training. The length and nature of the training will depend on the position’s requirements.

Of course!  RSVP strongly believes in finding a volunteer role that suits what you want.  Volunteering can be a great way to discover new skills and interests that you never knew you had.
Probably.  During your interview we can look at ways to incorporate your skills and talents into the program’s current available positions or discuss new ways RSVP can help you put those talents to good use!
Call RSVP at (801)525-5094 to schedule an interview or email jmsmith@co.davis.ut.us. We will meet for a one-on-one interview and orientation to help you connect with volunteer opportunities that suit your skills, interests and time availability.  Or, stop by the Davis RSVP office, located in the North Davis Senior Activity Center at 42 South State Street in Clearfield.  The Senior Center is located on the south side of Davis County Health Department.
