2nd Doses

  • The SOONEST a person can get the 2nd dose of Pfizer is 21 days.
  • According to CDC, the second dose should be administered as close to the recommended interval as possible. However, if it is not feasible to adhere to the recommended interval and a delay in vaccination is unavoidable, the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may be administered up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose.
  • The Davis County Health vaccine scheduling system will automatically generate an email to notify eligible residents when it is time to schedule their 2nd dose. Watch for the email on day 14 after your 1st dose.

Vaccine Safety

These steps include clinical trials and reviews by many independent scientists, medical professionals, and public health experts. The COVID vaccine has undergone these rigorous steps, just like all vaccines; no steps were skipped.
