Project Towards No Tobacco (Project TNT) Curriculum
Project TNT is a tobacco prevention program specifically developed for 5th-9th grade students. It was designed to prevent youth initiation of tobacco use by teaching students about the consequences of tobacco use, addiction, and disease while simultaneously building skills for effective communication, refusal, cognitive coping, and self-esteem development. Project TNT consists of 10 core lessons, each lasting 40-50 minutes.
The Davis County Health Department highly encourages teachers to teach this effective program that has been proven by the CDC as a "program that works." All the materials needed to implement the program will be provided by the health department. If you are interested in teaching Project TNT contact (801) 525-5070.
