starring Scarlett Johansson and Taika Wiatiti
A World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy named Jojo whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler, Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.
A moving story from a different-than-normal perspective on the Nazis. Scarlett Johansson is brilliant as the mother torn between doing what's right and raising her son and Taika Waititi is hilarious as Jojo's imaginary version of Hitler. As with any WWII Holocaust movie, have a box of tissues on hand, but be prepared to laugh as well!
