Detectives conduct investigations of, and serve as liaisons for, cases in South Weber City, West Point City, Fruit Heights City, unincorporated areas of the County, Forest Service Property, and Antelope Island.

We also assist other agencies in cases where there could be a conflict of interest and are members of the Davis County Critical Incident Protocol team.

Deputies from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office serve in a variety of task forces including, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, and Davis County Metro Narcotics Strike Force.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) is a multi-jurisdictional task force that investigates and prosecutes individuals who use the internet to entice or exploit children (anyone under 18 years of age). Davis County Sheriff’s Office works closely with local, state, federal, and international agencies to protect the rights of the victims.

Per state and federal laws, the Davis Metro Narcotics Strike Force investigates and prosecutes the illegal manufacture, importation, use, and distribution of controlled substances. The Strike Force collaborates with local, state, and federal agencies, and is governed by an Executive Board that includes the Sheriff and police chiefs from around Davis County, as well as a representative of the Davis County Attorney’s Office.
