Rebecca Findley and Susan White have provided awesome service at the courses. The contract period will end on December 31, 2014, and a renewal is possible. | Change Order #2010-343A COP Construction LLC for Culvert Project | Kirk Schmalz, Davis County Public Works Director, presented change order #2010-343A with COP Construction LLC for the Frontage Road Culvert Replacements Project. Additional costs have been incurred for utility loops and modifications at Davis and Steed Creeks. It is a payable of $55,714.17. Chairman Downs stated that Public Works has been prudent in ensuring channels are able to handle the run-off. Commissioner stated that the project did come in under the engineer’s estimate. | Agreement #2011-74 Junior Rodeo for Rental of Legacy Center | Agreement #2011-74 with Junior Rodeo. The yearly agreement is to have Junior Rodeo here during the summer and into the fall. The dates are from March 22 thru November 1, 2011. They use the Legacy Center on the fourth Tuesday night of each month. It is a receivable of $2,000.00. Concessions also receive revenue from sales. Opportunities to rodeo are provided for kids of all ages from stick horses to barrel racing. Commissioner Millburn made a motion to approve. Chairman Downs seconded the motion. All voted aye. | Agreement #2011-75 Earthtec Engineering, Inc. for Inspections & Testing Service for Campus Project | Barry Burton, Davis County Planning Director, presented agreement #2011-75 with Earthtec Engineering, Inc. The company will provide required special inspections and material testing services (soils, concrete, welding compression tests, masonry, structural steel and bolting, and asphalt) during construction of the Davis County Administration Building, Library Headquarters and Children’s Justice Center. These inspections will be beyond what the city inspector will do for the project. It is a payable not to exceed $29,950.00. Commissioner Millburn made a motion to approve. Barry stated work is being accomplished on underground utilities and setting a vault. We should have the building permit in hand by end of week or first of next week. A lot is happening behind the scenes. |
| Agreement #2011-76 Craig H. Chambers & Carolyn Taylor for Upgrade to Electrical Power Meter Bases | Tony Thompson, Davis County Planning Office, presented agreement #2011-76 with Craig H. Chambers and Carolyn Taylor. They are the owners of a 4-plex apartment located at 51 East 125 South Farmington Tax ID 07-034-0009. The property is next to the Davis County’s Farmington Campus. There is a need to upgrade the electrical power meter bases as a result of burying the power lines in conjunction with the building of the new County Administration, Library Headquarters Building and Children’s Justice Center. As a result of this action the 4-plex apartment building will have to be converted to an underground power feed. This agreement facilitates that work and grants agency to obtain a building permit from Farmington City. Part of this agreement was to grant an easement to Rocky Mountain Power (copy attached to agreement). Commissioner Millburn made a motion to approve. Chairman Downs seconded the motion. | Notice of Award to Mechanical Service Systems for HVAC ATC Upgrade | Marshall Scott, Davis County Facilities Management Director, presented the Notice of Award for the HVAC ATC Upgrade for the Courthouse Building. It is for Mechanical Service Systems in the amount of $162,220.00. The low bidder was non-responsive to certain of criteria for the bid. Mechanical Service Systems was the next low bidder. | Agreement #2011-77 Accountboss for Web Application to Manage Cell Phone Usage & Costs | Curtis Koch, Davis County Procurement and Contracts Director, presented agreement #2011-77 with Accountboss. It is for a web based application to help manage cell phone usage and costing for multiple accounts and providers. We currently have about 350 lines with Sprint and AT&T to manage. This will be useful for auditing and adjusting account plans. The estimated cost is $2,100.00 for one year. Commissioner Millburn made a motion to approve. Chairman Downs seconded the motion. | | Commission Comments: Commissioner Millburn stated we survived the legislative session. It was a good session. We are moving forward on the campus project. Commissioner Downs stated with the recent events such as the earthquake in Japan, we are compelled to move to the new facilities. |
