Legacy Events Center off-leash dog park closed for the Fair

The Farmington Dog Park will be closed during the Davis County Fair.  The park will re-open in the fall.

Several taxing entities are proposing to increase property tax revenue within Davis County: Bountiful City, Kaysville City, Syracuse City, West Point City, and North Davis Fire District.

Commissioner Jim Smith Steps Down as Commission Chair

Commissioner Jim Smith stepped down from the chair position on June 1 to allow Commissioner Randy Elliott to takeover. Elliott, who is in his second year of his first term, will be the only current member of the commission in office on January 1, 2019.

Davis County Receives Distinguished Energy Star Certification

Davis County recently received the Energy Star Certification. This certification is given to buildings that improve energy efficiency and contibute few greenhouse gas emissions to the environment. Because of Davis County's efforts, the Administration Building is using less energy today than it was four years ago, saving a total of $20,000 so far.

Davis County Commissioners Seek to Fill Vacancies on Planning Commission


48 Hours Presents "Don't Scream"

Davis County resident, Tiffany Mead, told her harrowing story of survival to 48 hours recently. Mead was nearly murdered by her husband in a Davis County park in 2013. The show featured paramedics from Davis County as well as investigators who worked tirelessly on the case to bring justice to Mead.

Davis County Animal Care and Control Director Rhett Nicks joined the ladies of Bark in the Park to talk about a car show/dog adoption event that took place in Sunset on May 12. The group was interviewed by Nicea DeGering from ABC4Utah during the midday newscast.

Davis County Clerk/Auditor’s Office Receives Award for Financial Reporting

Davis County is proud to announce that the Clerk/Auditors office has secured the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2016. This marks 24 years in a row!
