Rocky Mountain Power Medical Certificate Sign Up

Rocky Mountain Power's Medical Certificate program, is designed to help residential customers who have serious health conditions that could be aggravated by a power loss or who rely on electrically powered medical equipment (such as mobility devices, refrigerated medications like insulin, or equipment for conditions like multiple sclerosis). To enroll, a qualified medical professional (MD, DO, PA, or NP) must complete a Medical Certificate Form describing the in-home equipment, which is then mailed or faxed to Rocky Mountain Power. Enrolled customers receive extra notifications during Public Safety Power Shutoffs when possible, though the program does not guarantee uninterrupted service during weather events, other uncontrollable circumstances, or disconnections for nonpayment. Certificates must be periodically renewed according to each state's requirements.
