Davis County Health Department is responsible for assuring a healthy, safe environment for all Davis County citizens. However, preventing the spread of disease starts with the individual and becoming educated is the first step.

Bloodborne Pathogen Classes

Option 1: A free bloodborne pathogen class is held every third Tuesday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in the Davis County Health Department. EMS workers, body artists and other individuals who need to meet an annual OSHA requirement for bloodborne pathogen training are welcome. To signup for a class call (801) 525-5207.

Option 2: Bloodborne pathogen classes may also be offered at the worksite for community agencies. The cost is a flat rate of $100 per organization. To schedule a class for your employees at the location of your choice call (801) 525-5212.

For EMS employees requiring baseline testing for HIV, HBV, and HCV, they must call (801) 525-5207 to make an appointment. Baseline testing is not a service that is offered as part of the bloodborne pathogen classes.

Sexually Transmitted Disease/HIV Presentation

Davis County Health Department is available to provide a one hour STD presentation to community agencies and youth groups. Call (801) 525-5212 to schedule a presentation.


Public Health Merit Badge

Davis County Health Department can assist Boy Scouts who want to earn the Public Health Merit Badge. Call 801-525-5212 for more information or to schedule a health department visit for your troop.
