Insect/Animal Related Disease Highlights

Insect/animal related diseases are those diseases transmitted by an animal or insect (i.e. ticks, mosquitoes, and fleas).  These do not occur often in Davis County. Most often, these diseases (like malaria and dengue fever) are typically acquired outside of the United States.  However, during 2017, several cases were acquired in Utah due to the presence of West Nile virus.
