Tactical Incident Dispatch Team

The Davis County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center maintains a trained team of Tactical Incident Dispatchers. These dispatchers are available to respond to major incidents and/or special events occurring in the field to provide on-site communications support. A Tactical Incident Dispatcher may be deployed on-scene, in the Communications Center, at the Tactical Command Post, or at all three locations, depending upon the scope of the incident. The role of the Tactical Incident Dispatcher is to support the Tactical Command Staff and/or Incident Commander with accurate and timely documentation of events during high risk or large, significant operations for police, fire or medical.

Tactical Incident Dispatchers respond with the Mobile Command Post or meet at the scene and immediately establish multi modes of communication technology. The Tactical Incident Dispatchers are trained in all facets of dispatching and use state of the art communications and incident command equipment. They respond to assist the Davis County SWAT, Negotiators, Search and Rescue, Emergency Services Teams as well as various police and fire agencies.
