A ball is the way to this boys heart!! he walks 2mph on leash but as soon as you toss a ball his turbo charged tiny legs go into full affect haha bear is a chihuahua mix around 8 years old. He completely transforms once he’s outside. He likes to stay close by and after he’s had some time to settle in with the person he’s hanging out with, you start to get glimpses of his cuddly side that will blossom even more once he’s in a home. we’re still getting to know bear as he makes progress and opens up a little more each day. So far, he seems to be friendly with other pups, he starts off shy and definitely prefers calm friends. If you have a pup at home, bring them along for a meet and greet so we can see how they get along! we haven’t observed him with kids just yet, but we suspect he’d do best with older kids who understand giving him space and gentle love, or in a child-free home. if bear caught your eye, ask us about meeting him and we'd love to help answer any questions you might have!

Beautiful bella is such a darling lady. Her white face is the most precious thing at 13 years old. Bella trots nicely on leash, really appreciates yummy treats, and will plop her head in your lap hoping to get all the snuggles. she’s very sweet with kids, previously lived with another dog, and has enjoyed the company of other pups during our shelter playgroups. I listen well and know basic commands. i’m currently in a quiet foster home with a female st. Bernard and a male mini aussie and a confident dog-savvy calico. I prefer the ladies, they’re my favorite. I pretty much sleeps all day while my foster parents work from their home office. i love pack walks, chase some tennis balls then cuddles on the couch afterwards. apply to meet me, frank, your forever buddy. frank is a lovable guy who believes life is better with plenty of cuddles, balls, tug toys, and squeaky toys! he got to meet a kitty friend during a weekend wag sleepover and did well with them, was respectful and did not chase. He was a very good boy when left home alone and let them know every time he needed to go potty outside. frank knows sit, stay, come, and "excuse me" but is still working on his leash skills, so his new family will need to help him learn how to be a polite walking buddy. We have had hopper since he was a puppy. He has grown with our family. We have spent hours in the mountains, trail running, hiking, exploring. He loves to run free. He is very good with his sense of direction and so smart. He knows commands: leave it, stay, slow. He had a tumble with one of our kids down the stairs and from that has an aural hematoma on one of his ears. His new humans would need to love him. He is a tender dog and loves his people. Indy is a loyal companion and follows close by. He is shy and skittish to strangers and takes time to warm up and come out from hiding. He does not seem to like our small children and gives them a warning that he is uncomfortable with them being close but has never injured them. He needs anxiety medication to be seen by the vet or the groomer but does well with both. He will catch a frisbee but is too scared of you to return it. He has a dog door and likes to stay outside most of the day in the yard. He has never went to the bathroom in the home. He is around another dog a couple times a week and they get along great. Ash is an incredibly sweet and handsome rooster with a gentle, shy personality. They cannot be without each other, otherwise they struggle with anxiety. Hippo is definitely the leader she’s an amazing brave little pig. Capybara is the shy sister of hippo and has to follow never lead. Possum is a mix of the two but is a funky little pig she’s a character. All pigs get along incredibly well. They will love bite thinking your hand is food but won’t actually hurt. These animals as all guinea pigs are, are very very intensely needy animals and aren’t fit for a child to raise alone and will need a lot of help from parental or adult supervision/care.
