Do you love animals as much as we do? Serve our customers.  The Volunteer Program at Animal Care of Davis County was designed to support and enhance the goals of our shelter and enrich the lives of the animals in our care.  By being a part of our volunteer core you will:

  • Increase the number of shelter adoptions
  • Keep our shelter animals healthy, clean, safe, and happy
  • Encourage responsible pet ownership which includes licensing, spaying/neutering, and understanding the relevant local ordinances

  • Minors between the age of 16-17 will need to email volunteer@co.davis.ut.us for volunteer opportunities.
  • Group activities and opportunities must be scheduled in advance with the Volunteer Supervisor. Email volunteer@co.davis.ut.us for more information.

Typical Volunteer Tasks

We are always in need of volunteers to help us at the shelter and at events in the community. On-going volunteer activities include:

Other Ways to Volunteer

If you don’t particularly want to work with animals there are other ways to volunteer. Please tell us your skillset and we will find a place for you to help. Are you proficient in Social Media? Do you have graphic design skills? Are you a great organizer? Let us know!

There are also ways that you can donate your time and expertise outside the shelter.
