The Bountiful Branch Library opened in 1969 and at 24,000 square feet is the largest branch in the Davis County Library system. Originally built to house the senior citizens center on the east side of the lower level, the space was remodeled in 2000 for use as a children's room.

The building features a large auditorium on the lower level, quiet study area, tables with electrical plugs for laptop use and a large collection of books, audio books, films, music, magazines and internet pc's for public use.

The branch offers numerous programs for children including weekly storytimes and hosts best-selling author events several times a year. With Wi-Fi connectivity and a collection that responds to a wide range of reading tastes the branch is well suited for individual study and exploration as well as a community gathering space where information and ideas are exchanged.

As in all library locations, programs designed to meet the needs of or entertain patrons of all ages are made available to our patrons at no cost. For instance, patrons can learn how to plant a garden, develop photographic talents, interact with reptiles, hear from a favorite author or enjoy storytimes planned and presented by savvy storytellers.

The Centerville Branch opened in 2006 and at 10,000 square feet includes an auditorium, conference room, quiet study space and internet pc's for public use. It has a well-rounded collection of books, audio books, films, music and magazines to suit a wide range of reading tastes.

The design of the library is reminiscent of historic buildings in Centerville, most importantly the front door that features a circular arch modeled after the front door of an old Centerville School. The library and the Porter Walton Park line up exactly. The interior finishes of the library feature unique art pieces along the interior fascia depicting rural life. Beautiful stained glass windows throughout the interior and a children's room that feels like a garden due to the wonderfully rendered tree that spreads out into the room are all thanks to a generous grant from the Simmons Family Foundation.

The building has a warm and cozy feel with beautiful wood finishes and comfortable seating throughout encouraging reading and relaxing. With Wi-Fi connectivity and easy to access location it is a great place for individual study and exploration as well as providing a community gathering space offering weekly storytimes for children and a variety of family activities.

The Clearfield Branch Library, finished in 2021, is the newest in the Davis County System, replacing the old North Branch Library which was built in 1975. The new library at 1 North Main in Clearfield is located in the heart of Clearfield and offers a reliable and safe environment for patrons of all ages, especially children. Due to the location, this branch also makes the most of the reciprocal borrowing agreement between Davis and Weber County, benefiting patrons from both systems.

This new branch offers a well rounded collection of materials that includes books, audio books, films, music, magazines, a well-defined children’s area with a courtyard and, a first for Davis County, specialized technology that is not available at other locations. Some of the technology available is a 3-D printer, Adobe Creative Suite, and One Button Studio. Laptops, tablets, conversion equipment, and cameras are available for use in the building as well as to checkout. In addition to the new technology, the branch still offers wi-fi throughout the building and internet computers both up and downstairs for public use.

With multiple spaces for meetings and study, the branch offers two large conference rooms that seat 8-10, three small “flex spaces'' that convert to a larger program/study space, a large multi-purpose room with a piano that seats 125, and many areas to just sit, relax, and reflect. At just under 14,000 square feet the branch offers service on two floors and features artwork by not only notable Utah artist Tony Rasmussen, but also original artwork by several up and coming local artists including Mac Stevenson, David J. Crowther, B.J. Jensen, and John Huerta Jr. With high ceilings and a stunning staircase as the focal point, this branch serves as an anchor to the community and celebrates the closeness of Hill Air Force Base with design cues meant to celebrate flight.

The current Headquarters of the Davis County Library opened in 2012 on Main Street in Farmington. The original building opened in 1964 and was located on 100 East on the same campus.

The Headquarters Library is attached to Davis County's Administration building and is approximately 20,000 square feet and contains an auditorium, conference rooms, quiet study space, a PC used to view, scan and print microfilm, WIFI and public Internet PC's for public use. The library features a vibrant collection of books, audio books, films, music and magazines to suit a wide range of reading tastes as well as a “Locked Case” collection of materials with Davis County and Utah interest.

The Headquarters Library is unique in the system as it contains both the library administration and technical services department, which receives and processes books for the entire system and is the delivery hub for the of materials between branches.

Featuring art by several local artists, a children's area with whimsical feel, comfortable seating in light filled bump outs and wireless connectivity it is a comfortable place for individual study and exploration as well as a vibrant community gathering space featuring a wide variety of family activities including weekly storytimes, author visits and art receptions.

Originally the Kaysville City Library, the Kaysville Branch was established in 1921 and operated independently of the county system for many years. In 2005, Kaysville City opted to join the county library system and in July of 2006, the Kaysville City Library officially became the newest branch of the Davis County Library system. After a remodel of the old library space the branch officially opened as a Davis County Library Branch on August 12, 2006.

Nine years later in August of 2015 the library moved into a new 15,000 square ft. building which includes dedicated children’s space, conference rooms, a quiet study room, attractive reading areas, including a fireplace, additional internet pc’s and room for 100,000 circulating items. Unique displays, quality art reproductions and an extended tangram wall provide an attractive backdrop for library service. The Elizabeth “Tibby” E and Roy W Simmons auditorium seats 180 and offers inviting and creatively designed space for the community to use and enjoy during educational and entertaining events.

The library is a beautiful blend of the old and the new with roof lines that mimic those of the old mills that once sat on the property as well as new modern touches including high ceilings and light filled spaces. This library building was built to serve library patrons of not just today but for many years to come.

Located south of Layton High School, the Layton Branch opened in 1988 and was expanded in 2002 to its current size.

Interior highlights include the Val A. and Edith D. Green Young Reader's Area, where a child's imagination can take flight with features like a display case, copper birds, and a large balloon mobile.

As one of the larger branches within the system, this library offers a strong collection of books, audio books, films, music and magazines to suit a wide range of library users. It also provides Wi-Fi connectivity and a comfortable reading area for patrons.

Layton Branch is the ideal location to enjoy an afternoon of discovery by browsing, reading or researching information. As in all the library’s branches, a variety of vibrant and engaging programs are offered to patrons of all ages.

The Syracuse Branch opened in August 2003 and opened with a collection of approximately 30,000 items focused mainly on high-demand items such as children's and young adult books, bestsellers, books on CD, DVDs, and so forth.

The branch was closed in October 2018 for an extensive expansion/remodel and reopened in November 2019. This location serves the communities of Syracuse, Clinton, West Point, and the western parts of Layton and Clearfield.
